Its been a while, eh?
I guess life has been a bit too interesting lately, hence the absence from the blogging world.;)
In general, something in particular has been bugging the hell outta me these days...its the sheer incompetence...or call it the 'devil may care' attitude towards one's work.
The ones who are good at what they do, have to suffer because of the same....and the one's who are effin' plain lazy are having a merry time!!!
I know, I know life ain't fair but still I can hope.
When will we get to see 'What goes around, comes around' in action?
I've been waiting a bloody long time ,if you ask me.:/
It's a crazy , crazy world.
Not complaining because there are better things which compensate for all of this,eh?:)

The toothy tale again......
A few days back, Ayush(a kid of my class) came up to me and said," ma'am, mera daant hil raha hai. Mummy ne kaha hai Joshi Sir se nikalwaa lena"
:|
Joshi Sir promptly did the job.
Ayush got one more tooth removed yesterday.
Oh, and Sir tells me," Arrey pehle bachche ko mentally prepare karna padta hai".
And it never ceases to amaze me, that after the tooth removal by Joshi Sir, none of these kids cries.
Life works in mysterious ways......

The pleasure of not sharing an ice cream.
How many times have you wished you could suddenly turn invisible just after receiving your ice cream?
How many times have you thought about the sheer inconsideration shown by your friends when they dig in to your ice cream shamelessly and without any remorse even after you stare balefully at them later on?
How many times has the vision of a HUGE cup( or rather glass) of fruit salad sundae( or hot chocolate fudge for the choc-lovers) distracted you from a very important task?
How many times have you wished you could eat as much ice cream as you wanted without worrying about your calories?........HA! Got you there. As if you don't eat your fill.
One of the best pleasures of life is to sit isolated even in a group and enjoy your ice cream without having to share it with anyone.Whoever said, "Sharing is caring" wasn't thinking about ice cream for sure.

I am colour-blind.
I am colour blind.......
coffee black and
egg white....
Pull me out from inside.
I am ready.
Colorblind by Counting crows.
Seemingly simple lyrics but listen to the words and you'll know.
Beautiful song.
Haunts you.
I seriously recommend it.

Joshi Sir is a dentist!!!!
There's a sweet-tempered Joshi Sir in my school who gets a perverse pleasure by breaking off kids' teeth.:/
Uh ok... I think I need to rephrase that.
What I meant to say was, that whenever any kid has a loose tooth, which needs to be pulled out, Joshi Sir promptly does the job.
FREE OF CHARGE that is.:O
Throughout the years, many kids have been saved from unbearable tooth-aches, courtesy Joshi Sir.
Today I was making Kartik rehearse for his part when I saw this one lone tooth protruding out making him look hilarious.
Of course, the sensitive teacher that I am, I laughed out loud, taking him to one more class to show my friend, the funny tooth.:D
Well, even thinking about pulling someone's tooth makes me queasy so, I thought...Let the nature take its course.
After leaving them in the Games period, I found Kartik with his friend near the water point rinsing his mouth. He gave me a toothy-grin( errr, he did have other teeth you know)......and said ,"Ma'am, ho gaya kaam.....Joshi Sir ne daant tod diya." He felt no pain, needless to say.
When I came back to the class, Kshiti gets up and says somberly," Ma'am, Joshi Sir is a dentist!"
I couldn't agree more!

What's with the nautanki????
Ummmm....Yes as usual we've landed ourselves in a sort of mess again.
-sighs-
In a span of about 25 days approx. we are preparing our kids for a Nautanki for the upcoming Annual Day function.
:|
Right....started off with an idea of mine to do a play based on the famous Fun story 'Gopi Gawaiyya , Bagha Bajaiyaa' written by famous director Satyajit Ray's grandpa...which he turned into a Bengali movie years later.
So, what exactly does such a task involve?
Well....the recipe needs.....a lot of creativity, some craziness...make that LOADS of craziness, some great heads to make up an appropriate script,a huge amount of patience and some weird acting skills, some talented and uninhibited seven-year-olds, hours of practicing, some sore throats by the end of it.......and A LOUD APPLAUSE.....and hopefully a standing ovation....if I'm not asking for too much.
-fingers crossed-
The script has turned out brilliant.....I'll probably save it to remind myself how brilliant we 4 turned out to be.
-smug grin-
Sheh I'm tired already....and I gotta work.
Will continue in a couple of days.
Adios~

Its that time of the year again!

The cold winter days and nights,
Wrapped up in my blanket,
Reading a book in the bed,
With a hot cup of tea on the window-sill,
Loads of holidays around,
Keeping the cellphone on silent mode,
Eating Christmas cake, peanuts, and a lot more stuff,
Too lazy to even comb my messy hair,
Wearing socks 24/7,
Sore throat and still gossipping loud on phone sometimes,
Ignoring my mom's protests all the time,
Laughing in that crazy tone,
Damn! Will it stay the same forever and ever?
This, people, is my version of 'Dilli ki Sardi'.
Brrrrr.... Time to head back to that tempting bed now.
Later~
